David Walley's Resort is a natural Hot Springs, Hotel, Restaurant and Spa Resort located in Genoa Nevada. Founded by David and Harriet Walley and two partners in 1862, Walley's began as only a tent for shelter and mineral bath for 50 cents. The spa was built, later burned down, rebuilt and today it is time-shared. Despite all these changes, the sacred waters remain. People still travel from all over the world to visit David Walley's. Even Mark Twain and Clark Gable have soaked in the magical Walley's Hot Springs!
The healing qualities of the mineral waters are what many call "The Fountain of Youth". The hot springs absorb a high content of mineral elements from the ground including silica, sulfur, lithium and boron. These elements are proven to heal, rejuvenate and restore the body.
Today, there are seven separate hot mineral pools all varying in temperatures between 98 and 104 degrees. Some of the pools are large, some small with jacuzzi jets... some are middle sized. You can soak in the morning, under the stars at night, in the Snow or when it is 100 degrees in the summer. David Walley's has it all, in fact, in addition to the mineral pools, there's a steam room, sauna, work out room, swimming pool, full spa offering massages, facials, body wraps and scrubs as well as an outstanding restaurant and bar.

Margie,
ReplyDeleteYes, we look forward to your visit. You have the best of all worlds with the fascinating wild west history of Genoa and Lake Tahoe only a short 20 minute drive away!
cheers!
We truly enjoyed the resort and springs - it's very cool to see the hot water (200 degrees before cooling) come out of the ground from small holes between the resort and the natural habitat - let's you know this is the real deal. I spent 4 days there and have never felt more relaxed. I am now 2 days back to the City life and still feeling like a bowl of jello - look forward to future visits to Wally's. The staff and amenities were wonderful. The kids had fun riding bikes all over the area. - Darrow
